Become alchemist of the ancient times, using bark and oil to turn fish skin, as fragile as it seems, into tough water resistand leather. What ever science has to say.. It's magic!
We will go through the whole proces of cleaning the skin, boiling a tanning solution and work the skin in to leather. Taking time to connect with skin, bark and people. Together sharing teachings and story's.
At this three hour workshop there is place for 16 people, 12 years and older (younger ones are more than welcome to join and aid there elders!).
We aim to connect with the 'wild' nature around and within. This workshop is given by Steven Dirven, who takes life as teacher and guide, navigating through permaculture city life, small hold farming, sailing the deep seas and living stoneage on high mountains. Learning traditions and new ways, deepening his connection with the untamed nature throughout his journey, fascinated how to integrate 'wildlife' in daily ways, wherever that my be.
